Our Story

Marty started his career with Insty-Prints back in 1972 while still in high school sporting long hair and driving hot rods.  He moved up the ladder quickly to become the hot shot Manager of 4 locations and 21 employees.   In 1994, he purchased the Lake Orion shop and became his own boss.  Of course that meant no more 2 week paid vacations but now he can wash the car when free time allows.  Marty handles all things in the pressroom... pre-press, printing, bindery/finishing.  He juggles several jobs at once and keeps the equipment humming.  I'm often amazed at the finished product from what sometimes begins with a customers crumpled, crooked & smudged copy.  He's more than a little picky when it comes to quality

I joined the team in 1991 at the Rochester Hills location and eventually transferred to Lake Orion to work with Marty.  I am responsible for all aspects of the order process which entails customer service, order entry, graphic design, scheduling and final delivery.  It would be great to stop there and say that's all I'm responsible for but with only the 2 of us here, we wear many hats during the day.  You might catch me sweeping the floors or Marty cleaning the bathroom.  Just kidding, he would never be the one cleaning the bathroom but he does keep a tidy shop.  But to the amazement of so many, we actually do enjoy working together everyday as a married couple and will be celebrating our 21st year as a team with Insty-Prints.

Our Business

Insty-Prints is a quick printing franchise that began in 1968.  We joined the franchise in the summer of 1972.  We wer the second quick print shop in all of Oakland County!  Starting with just one press, we have created and sustained a large customer base in our area and beyond.

We have been part of the Lake Orion community since 1979.  We were located in the downtown are for 22 years and have since moved to an Industrial building further south on        M-24.  Our shop is among the businesses in the Crestwood Commons building and is situated on the east side of M-24, approximately 1 mile north of the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Communication through our website and email allow us to receive files direct from our customers.  These factors help to meet shorter deadlines and produce higher quality pieces.  Orders are then shipped UPS daily or can be picked up at the shop when finished.  Feel free to send files or request a quote at instyoforion@yahoo.com
